US President Donald Trump commented on the results of his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the margins of the G20 summit for American journalists. According to him, the conversation turned out to be very long and productive.
The American leader said that, among other issues, the topic of anti-Russian sanctions and the Crimea was discussed. Trump said he would be very happy to visit the peninsula after the children who had a rest in Artek this summer.
“I know everything about the Crimea. For two years in a row, damn it, my children are resting there. This place was chosen by Melania [spouse of the US president]. We thank her for this hospitable place. I would like our next meeting with Putin to take place there. Yalta is a very great place. There have already met Roosevelt, Churchill and some of the Russians. Now, of course, it’s too early to talk about a trilateral meeting, where the presidents of Russia and Ukraine will be, but I hope to lead America for a long time and make it great. Putin’s example impresses me, ”Trump said.
Recall, Trump’s granddaughters spent the summer of 2018 in Artek.
