The governor of Georgia asks Putin to lift the ban on visiting the state

The governor of the US state of Georgia, Brian Kemp, said he was surprised and concerned after the news of the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, prohibiting Russian tourists from visiting the state.

“I do not understand what it is connected with. We are always welcome in Russian, and isolated cases of beatings do not speak about the system of intolerance. There may have been some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. I think that Putin himself or after the pressure of Congress will cancel his decision on Georgia, ”said Kemp.

Networks of hotels and restaurants of the state reported that “they are waiting for Russian tourists, as before,” but decided to raise prices by 20%, fearing a possible reduction in tourist flow. Thus, they expect to cover the financial imbalance.
