On the first day of summer, a new exhibition dedicated to politicians opened at Madame Tussauds London Museum of Wax. Among the already familiar characters — Donald Trump, Emmanuel Macron, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Angela Merkel, for the first time, the figure of the new president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, made by a master from Eastern Europe, took its honorable place.
The new hall has aroused great interest among the British, as well as among the citizens of the former Soviet republics living on the territory of Foggy Albion. A student of one of London’s colleges discovered a curiosity — instead of Zelensky, the appearance in the exposition was taken by the outwardly similar to him the lead singer of the group “Beasts” Roma the Beast (real name is Roman Bilyk). The photo was posted on the social network and quickly gained popularity. As a result, the owners of the institution were forced to admit that the Russian musician received the honor represented in the museum, but after discussion the management announced that it would not change the figure to a new one and even leave a valid signature.
“There are many similar people in the world. Perhaps this is how Zelensky saw the creator. It is very interesting that the Russians immediately discovered this moment, at the same time our Trump is very similar to Boris Johnson. Therefore, let each visitor of the exposition himself determine who is Zelensky or a Russian musician in front of him, ”said the director of the museum, Gina Ternson.
Earlier, Madame Tussauds had already fallen into a similar situation, when Nadezhda Krupskaya took the place in the exposition of Hollywood stars instead of Scarlett Johansson.
